Scar tissue that I wish you saw
Sarcastic mister know-it-all
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, 'cause
With the birds I'll share

With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'

Push me up against the wall
Young Kentucky girl in a push-up bra
Fallin' all over myself
To lick your heart and taste your health 'cause

With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely view

Blood loss in a bathroom stall
A southern girl with a scarlet drawl
I wave goodbye to ma and pa
'Cause with the birds I'll share

With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'

Soft spoken with a broken jaw
Step outside but not to brawl and
Autumn's sweet, we call it fall
I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl and

With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely view

Scar tissue that I wish you saw
Sarcastic mister know-it-all
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, 'cause
With the birds I'll share

With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely viewin'
With the birds I'll share this lonely view

basically its about anthony in love with this girl mixed with his drug abuse. IMO theres two different veiws of this "love". The Girls view, which they each share an unconditonal love for eachother. Anthony's view is being in love but not being completely honest with her.

Scar tissue that I wish you saw (When you get cut or puncture your self you'll start healing. When your completely healed you'll have a scar and that is what you call scar tissue. In this case scar tissue is from a needle, most possibly from a crack/heroin addiction.)

Sarcastic mister know it all ("Sarcastic mister know it all", this could be a view on himself when he's socializing with other people. i think he's hiding his true self and trying to portray a perfect self to a certain someone.)

I'll Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause (this could imply that she doesnt know what's really going on and its avoided by a simple kiss)

With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view (She's the bird and he wants to share the truth about him)

Push me up against the wall Young Kentucky girl in a push-up bra (sexual activies, she's getting naked.. OHHHH SNAP!!)

Fallin' all over myself (She's falling madly in love with him)

To lick your heart and taste your health 'cause (He's not on the same level yet, but his interested. Because he wants to "taste and lick" it before he tries the full course)

With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view (He's telling her the truth and his view is more alone and isolated while her view is truthful and honesty)

Blood loss in a bathroom stall (when dealing with needles it get kinda messy)

Sounthern girl with a scarlet drawl (She's southern and Scarlet drawl means southern accent)

Wave goodbye to ma and pa 'cause (leaving the house obviously)

With the birds I'll share With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view (YADA YADA YADA...)

(i think with the last paragraph she found out about everything and is pissed)

Soft spoken with a broken jaw (he's confronted with the lies and he has nothing to say, Like he cant talk because his jaw is broken)

Step outside but not to brawl (she wants him outside to talk, NO FISTS THough)

Autumn's sweet we call it fall (They Broke up.. in Autumn. the relationship fell off)

I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl (im not going to cpell this out but im guessing he wants her back no matter what the cost)

With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view (HE'S Telling her the truth, About his drug abuse and not telling her and lying to her and being false) (He's telling her with this POEM.. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW)

Scar tissue that I wish you saw (The things he wished she knew in the first place)

Sarcastic mister know it all (But instead he lied and hid)

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you 'cause (You know...)

With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view With the birds I'll share This lonely view (His lonely view and her "un"lonely veiw)

I think anyways people perception of music varies so... i read other meaning but you decide if you understand mine?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
