Has to be a loose fit
Has to be a loose fit

Go on move in it, go on do your bit
Small, big take your pick
Doesn't have to be legit

It' s gotta be a loose fit
It' s gotta be a loose fit

Don't need no skin tights in my wardrobe today
Fold them all up and put them all away
Won't be no misfit in my household today
Pick them all out and send them on their way
Do what you're doing, say what you're saying
Go where you're going, think what you're thinking
Sounds good to me

Don't know what you saw, but you know it's against the law
And you know that you want some more
I've heard it all before
Gonna buy an airforce base
Gonna wipe out your race
Get stoned in a different place
Don't you know I got better taste
Do what you're doing, say what you're saying
Go where you're going, think what you're thinking
It sound good to me

Do what you're doing, spend what you're owing
Pay what you're paying, look where you're going
Say what you're thinking, kill who you're killing
Sing if you're singing, speak if you're speaking
Sounds good to me

Probably something to do with the baggy jeans fashion of the early nineties. The 'gonna buy an airforce base' is probably for an unofficial rave. Or perhaps, they were just off there faces on Ecstasy and Temazepam.

i think its based around jst the general good feelin the band had at the time. i dont think loose fit refers 2 loose jeans or shit like that. i feel loose fit means jst havin no attatchments, nothin 2 tie u down, jst floatin along doin as u please. SHAUN WILLIAM RYDER is a FOOKIN GENIUS!!!!

yeah i'm happy with that... i don't think you should look to deeply into mondays songs, it's just a case of translating!

To me it's about finding a suitable mate for the moment who's not quite your type but not far off, not a soul mate, just some one who's enjoyable to spend some time with. A "Loose Fit"

Was the line "Gonna buy an airforce base, gonna wipe out your race" censored at the time this song came out as a single, as it was just as the first Gulf war was starting?

Don't look too deep into this.. It's just about the "baggy" scene in Manchester and the state of mind of that scene at that time.. "Loose Fit" is in regards to the loose fitting clothing worn during the early UK rave days.. and what was later seen in the US between 92-96. Not to be confused with the candy raver crazy of the late 90's and beyond.. This was the real deal..

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
