"You Are My Joy" as written by Iain Archer, Ben Dumville, Stacie Seiverwright, Colin Mcpherson, Mick Cooke, Gary Lightbody, Jonathan Graham Quinn, Jenny Reeve, William Angus Campbell, Gareth Martin Russell, Charlie Clarke, Bob Kildea ...
I won't leave you
Out of my will
But I will leave you out
Of my mind, for now

I won't be there to break
Your sweet heart
But not being there
Might break your sweet heart

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

If I could cradle you
Into my arms
I would cradle you
Tight in my arms, always

So don't be scared
Of all the hurtful words
'Cause in the end
They'll hurt themselves much more

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy
You are my joy

General CommentI think this song has a wee bit of a deeper meaning that just being in love with someone:
"So dont be scared of all the hurtful words
'Cos in the end they'll hurt themselves much more"
That to me seems like he's defending someone too, against whatever other people think.
Well, I might be wrong, but it kinda fits in with me and my girlfriend anyway:-)

General Commentsuch a good and happy sounding song but it reminds me of a parent having to leave their child: "I wont be there to break your sweet heart but not being there might break your sweet heart" also the not being scared of hurtful words

General CommentStill listening to this track, and years later, I can see it's clearly written about his child.
