Mr. Jones was just hanging around
Counting those crows
Red, white, blue
Real real fast
We're talking semisonic
'Cause distance over speed equals closing time
So maybe it isn't so bad

And Buddy Holly aint no weezer
More like a gieser and that goes to show
And the time of his life is coming around
Cause he's a nice guy and
Tries real hard
He won't be finishing soon
Even thought the light is green

And I guess it's hard
When your sleeping with an elephant
No room to live
But hey it keeps you warm

And why can't I be the dominant one
I've tried so hard
But it's still crushing me
I don't want to become
Part of that

And nothing ever lasts for ever
Not Jesus
Not Babylon
Not even your black feelings
He just took one last breath
Of clean, clean air to get higher
And eventually created his own prison

And my soul is getting heavy
So just spit it out
Into the world i know
And Jimmy's American world is bleeding
Right into the middle
And I become a little more
American everyday

And I guess it's hard
When your sleeping with an elephant
No room to live
But hey it keeps you warm

And why can't I be the dominant one
I've tried so hard
But it's still crushing me
I don't want to become
Part of that

General CommentAWESOME SONG! i cant believe i missed this one before!! I totally get what it's about. he uses song titles from other artists and is talking about globalization and stuff.
Og is a Canadian band so i guess the elephant part is talking about being next to the US.
