Where there's life there's gotta be hope
And where there's a will there's a way
One man's in is another's out
I gotta get out today

Where there's life there's gotta be hope
And where there's a will there's a way
Amid divisions you're so low
You know I gotta get out today

General CommentI've read that this song makes fun of mopey Brit rock, a la Morrissey.

General CommentIts more to do with the youth of that time staying in bed when Brown (who wrote the track) thought they'd be better getting of there arse and doing stuff.

Hence the lines "when there's life there's gotta be hope and when there's a will there's a way".

General CommentThis song is the embodiment of the feeling of living in Manchester circa 1985. It was a horrible place to be and left little for the heart to aspire to. This song is testament to the image of the hardened Manchester boys that they were. Innocent, confused and filled with rage, this is one my favourite songs of all time. A rare tune where an unspeakable connection occurs.
