"Daisy Bell (Bicycle Built for Two)" as written by David Hirschfelder, Ricky Edwards and Harry Dacre....
There is a flower within my heart
Daisy, Daisy
Planted one day by a glancing Dad
Planted by daisy bell
Whether she loves me or loves me not
Sometimes it's hard to tell
Yet I am longing to share the lot
A beautiful daisy bell

[Chorus]
Daisy, Daisy give me your heart to do
I'm half crazy, hopeful in love with you
It won't be a stylish marriage
I can't afford the carriage
But you look sweet upon the street
On a bicycle built for two

We will go tandem as man and wife
Daisy, Daisy
Peddling our way down the road of life
I and my daisy bell
When the roads and we both despise
Please men the lambs as well
There are bright lights in those dazzling ice
A beautiful daisy bell

[Chorus]

I'll stand by you in wear or well Daisy, Daisy
You'll be the bell we'll try to rip you know
Sweet little daisy bell, You'll take the lead in each trip we take
And if I dropped out, I will say here's the drink by beautiful daisy bell

[Chorus: x2]

But you look sweet upon the street
On a bicycle built for two
On a bicycle built for two
On a bicycle built for two
For two, for two, for two, for two

General CommentThe song wasn't actually written by Damon et al., it's an old standard written by Harry Dacre.

I still like their version, though, and I heardwhen American crowds were less than receptive to them in the early nineties, they would play this song and change the chrous to "with a bicycle up your arse."

General CommentI love their cover of it.

Girlfriend hates it though, I always sing it really loud when we are eating out together and it embarreses the hell out of her :]

General CommentIt's been a while since I heard Blur's version, but as far as I can remember it uses the proper words, which are, more or less (I can't remember the last verse):

"There is a flower within my heart,
    Daisy,
    Daisy,
Planted one day by a glancing dart,
    Planted by Daisy Bell.
Whether she loves me or loves me not,
    Sometimes it's hard to tell,
But I am longing to share the lot,
    Of beautiful Daisy Bell, oh,
    Daisy,
    Daisy,
    Give me your answer do,
I'm half crazy, all for the love of you,
It won't be a stylish marriage,
    I can't afford a carriage,
But you'd look sweet, upon the seat,
Of a bicycle made for two.

We will go tandem as man and wife,
    Daisy,
    Daisy,
Peddling away down the road of life,
    Me and my Daisy Bell,
When the road's dark we can both despise,
    Policemen and lamps as well,
There are bright lights in the dazzling eyes,
    Of beautiful Daisy Bell, oh,
    Daisy,
    Daisy,
    Give my your answer do,
I'm half crazy, all for the love of you,
It won't be a stylish marriage,
    I can't afford a carriage,
But you'd look sweet, upon the seat,
Of a bicycle made for two."
