Flowers are blowing in the wind
and I can see the sun setting on the hill
it's almost gone
and the hills are greener than I've ever seen
and this feels to real to be just another dream
now don't let me leave this moment
hold me in this place
where everything is clearer
than of all before
and everything makes sense

when you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath and tell me what you see
and you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath and tell me what you see

As we sat down by the water
in my mind I felt a gental breeze blow
soft against my face
and we talked for hours
it didn't seem to matter what about
as long I was there with you
can you show me what it is to believe in
something greater than I can't understand
yeah you showed me what it is to believe

when you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath and tell me what you see
and you say
stand on the edge of tomorrow
don't close your eyes
take a look around here and tell me what you see

tell me what you see
tell me what you see
tell me what you see

when you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath anad tell me what you see
and you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath and tell me what you see

tell me what you see
tell me what you see

when you say
stand on the edge and don't be afraid to fall
take a breath anad tell me what you see
and you say
stand on the edge of tomorrow
don't close your eyes
take a look around here and tell me what you see

tell me what you see

This song has always brought tears to my eyes. I can't listen to it without getting emotional. It reminds me of the people in my life that have touched me and inspired me to have faith. People who have taught me to move fearlessly through my life without regretting the choices I've made or worrying about the next step.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
