I change the key from C to D
You see, to me, it's just a minor thing, y'all
He knows everything
To readjust you've got to trust
That all the fuss is just a minor thing, y'all
He knows everything

It's just a minor thing and I'm a minor king
He knows everything
Ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh-ooh

You've got your bit part, Mozart
Hot dart acceleration
Pop art, pistol chasing
Catfight intimidation
Oh, oh, oh, oh

To read a mind you've got to
Redefine the line to make your circle sing, y'all
He knows everything
You make a sound, the spell is bound
To come around, it's just a minor thing, y'all
He knows everything

It's just a minor thing and I'm a minor king
He knows everything
Ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh-ooh

You've got your bit part, Mozart
Hot dart acceleration
Pop art, pistol chasing
Catfight intimidation
All out interfacing
Black star motivation
Vampire, sugar junkie
Databasing infiltration

I change the key from C to D
You see to me it's just a minor thing, y'all
He knows everything
To readjust you've got to trust
That all the fuss is just a minor thing, y'all
He knows everything

It's just a minor thing and I'm a minor king
It's just a minor thing and I'm a minor king

I'm not sure why no one has commented on this song. I really like it! It's got a really catchy beat that just makes me want to skip to it when I've got the CD in.

To me, or at least what I can tell, this song is about not sweatin' the small stuff, hence 'it's just a minor thing' :-)

I reckon this song is all about how sometimes things seem real hard to do at the time or like theyre gonna make some huge disturbance in your life, but when you look back on life..... it was just a minor thing. Eg: how hard did it seem at the time to finish things with your girlfriend when you were 16? felt like you just wanted to run away and leave it behind rather than facing up to it. Could even be a reference to his drug problems and how that now hes over them, it all seems like a minor thing?

id like to take further what spendog said, i dont know if im right but i think he is saying all this after his death and when he sais "he knows everything" and "you've got to trust" he is speaking about god, although i didnt think Anthony Keidis was religious. "you've got your bit part" everyone has their role to play in the world and "im a minor king" every person is special and individual. "the spell is bound to come around" means ur life but its "just a minor thing" you shouldnt be too concerned with minor difficulties. so i agree with spendog but i think theres more to the song.

i agree w/ joey...I don't know that A.K. is religious (in fact, I'm sure he's not) and neither am I, but I think what he's saying here is: we're all just a "minor thing" compared to god or the universe or whatever it is that you believe in...

come on people, its blatently about music. Maybe only on the surface, but still. minor thing as in minor chords. Changing the key from C to D. I think its about the guy he respects as the best in the music business. Mozart reference anyone? "He Knows Everything"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
