Last night I dreamt
I was superman

I had lots of fun
Playing with my cape
And my tights

But my love
This is goodnight

Even though your life was wasted
Doesn't mean that I should say it
I'll sit at home
I'll watch tv

Go ahead and cry
I don't give a damn

It doesn't matter
I'm superman

Look at me
Look at me
Look at me

(Instrumental)

Look at me

(Instrumental)

If there are some buildings in your way
Speeding locomotive goes your way

I'll fly away
I'll fly away
I'll fly...I'll fly away
I'll fly away

General CommentFor those who don't know, Steve Burns is the former host of the kids' show Blue's Clues, and he's now working on an album, Songs For Dustmites. To my surprise, I found this music to be absolutely eargasmic—quite the opposite of what I was expecting after seeing his show a few times. steveswebpage.com/ for MP3 samples of his upcoming album and for information pertaining to said album's release.

General CommentI think there's an error in the lyrics. In the booklet, it says the line is "even though your life was wasted, doesn't mean that I should SAVE it" not 'say'

anyway, this song is a really cool example of uncle Ben's "With great power comes great responsibility" teaching. It got me thinking, what incentive does Superman have to save people? he, in all reality, could just "sit at home [and] watch TV."

it also puts the question to you, if you were Superman, would you do the same as the comic book hero? "Would you use your powers for good, or for awesome?" (quote from Strong Bad) or would you do evil things? or would you just not do anything, become a Republican, and let life happen to other people?
