When all our tears have reached the sea
Part of you will live in me
Way down deep inside my heart
The days keep coming without fail
New wind is gonna find your sail
That's where your journey starts

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Just like the waves down by the shore
We're gonna keep on comin' back for more
'Cause we don't ever want to stop
Out in this brave new world you'll see
Oh the valleys and the peaks
And I can see you on the top

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Remember me when you're out walking
When snow falls high outside your door
Late at night when you're not sleeping
And moonlight falls across your floor
When I can't hurt you anymore

You'll find better love
Strong as it ever was
Deep as the river runs
Warm as the morning sun
Please remember me

Please remember me

This song is about a man who has broken up with a significant other, a wife, a longtime girlfriend. Someone who has been with him long enough to leave such an impact that he still wishes to be remembered by that person no matter what.

"All our tears have reached the sea. (They've both cried over the breakup) Part of you will live in me, Way down deep inside my heart (He still loves her enough that he wants her to be happy) The days keep coming without fail. New wind is gonna find your sail That's where your journey starts. (Time has passed and now she can find new love, she's moved on, maybe he has as well, but he still remembers her and wants her to find love)

You'll find better love, (than what he had with her) Strong as it ever was, (it being thier love) Deep as the river runs, Warm as the morning sun, But please, remember me. (Find this better love, move on, but keep me in your heart)

Like the waves down by the shore We're gonna keep on coming back for more. Cause we don't ever wanna stop. Out in this brave new world you'll see Over the valleys and the peaks. And I can see you on the top (No matter what happens, no matter where you go, I'll always remember, "see", you) (the next four lines ask her to remember him when she's lonely and he can't be there for her) Remember me when you're out walking. When snow falls high outside your door. Late at night when you're not sleeping, And moonlight falls across your floor... And I can't hurt you anymore. (admition of failure towards loved one) CHORUS

I read in an article a few years back that this song is near & dear to Tim's heart because at one time during the beginning of his relationship with Faith Hill, they had some troubled times because of committments, tour schedules, etc. This song is near and dear to my heart because it reminds me of the relationship with my husband. We've been together for 10 years, madly in love but we just aren't meant to be together and it took me that long to finally realize that no matter how much you love someone, doesn't necessarily mean you are meant to be together. We had trying times that pulled us together and broke us apart but we will always remember each other, the positive things we brought to each other and the good times we had.

This song can be interpreted many ways by each and every human being. It makes no difference what the person who wrote it was thinking. Songs are to provoke thoughts and feelings in the listeners!

This song makes me cry everytime i hear it. It always makes me think of my friend, he died last year and this song just breaks my heart when I hear it because the last verse is almost the exact lines in the poem that was read at his funeral.

Well, since no one is really telling us what this songs means to them...I will let you all know what I think it means: He is not worthy of her..in his eyes, I mean. He thinks she can do better than him, kinda keep her options open! Does that make sense?

Very very sad song. I think it is about someone who feels like they're holding their lover back

Cajun Girl

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
