"Red Light In My Eyes - Part Two" as written by and Aleksi Laiho....
Pulling the last cry, I was alive (alive!)
While I'm down in my hatred, weird, right (right!)
Your god has set you on fire, this day the darkness light your way

When we, reach this final dusk
Bring me fire and insanity
The jet-black eyes are showing butterflies,
They dance in the fire insane, so

[Chorus]
Fire dance with me
Fire come with me
Fire your fire

Of the everlasting flame, did burn me
The one we are all off often struggling down, down, down, down
And when you hear me forth to the ever last,
Hear me used to bear dreams cast in a silent near

Fire, you're killing me
Fire, a thorn, sweet, so rare
We'll praise the Lord to begin it

Until the others will fall
But, victims are we all

We will at last destroy human gods
And within us the fire is burning
The dream lives forth, we're standing strong to fight
And the everlasting fire is burning

[Chorus]

    General CommentI LOVE THIS SONG!
probably my favorite song right now!!
I used to think they were crappy deathmetal, but this sounds more like emo or hardcore (like Avenged Sevenfold)

General CommentB12, let me explain why Children of Bodom are neither EMO nor HARDCORE.

Main elements in hardcore(Metalcore) include heavy vocals in the sense of a more shout-like mannor (as apposed to Bodom, who are more grunt-style vocals.) Also, in a typical Hardcore based band, you find fast steady and repetitive drum beats, with a dominant base (however it could be said that the drums have more dominance over the bass.) But the tune (or guitar) tends to play short high pitched riffs in little bursts. This is completely different to Bodom, who are a more Power Metal/Melodius Death Metal band, elemenants include more synthetic riffs, classical devices and the clever use of keyboards and guitar to create a fast paced and everychanging sound.

Finally, emo music comes from a hardcore-punk origin, and although if you tried very hard you could argue that the lyrics (or perhaps rather certain lines) could be considered emo most likely you would fail because there is a major difference between "death related lyrics" and "self-harm/emotional slander"

    Moving on,

General CommentCoBs lyrics are emotional or "emo".
Honestly who gives a fuck, it doesn't mean they're an emo band.
Queen, Maiden and Wintersun all have emotional lyrics, but their music still kills posers from 200 yards away.
Less classifying and more meanings imo.

Maybe it's about how insane the Bodom killer was? Just a punt in the dark here :s
