I wish that I was her and I wish that she was me.
But you've gotta let her go and you know that you agree.
Because how could we ever start, if you're afraid to break her heart.

You say you love me so.
But you have to let her go.

All that she wants is you.
And all that she sees is you.
All that you gotta do is set her free.
That's what, that's what, what you do about me.

Love's not an easy thing, if somebody gets hurt.
I know you were meant for me even though she saw you first.
You need to deal with her honestly.
I won't let you cheat with me.

I bet you never knew,
what you got yourself into.

All that she wants is you.
And all that she sees is you.
All that you gotta do is set her free.
That's what, that's what, what you do about me.

We could be beautiful
(We could be beautiful)
We could be so special
We could be wonderful

All that I want is you.
All that I see is you.
All that you gotta do is set her free.
That's what, that's what, what you do about me.

All that she wants is you.
And all that she sees is you.
All that you gotta do is set her free.
That's what, that's what, what you do about me.
What you do about me.
What you do about me.

this song is kinda obvious, a guy and a girl like each other but he already has a girlfriend. the girl wont let the guy cheat on his girlfriend with her though. 'But deal with her honestly I won't let you cheat with me' its an ok song

The classic 'boy and girl fall in love even though boy is already taken' tale with the view switched. She doesn't want him to be dishonest with who he's with and she's telling him he needs to break up with her before they do anything. Of course, I've always had trouble empathizing with this song in particular. >_> Especially when I'm the one who was on the 'broken up with' side.

First of all the lyrics here are wrong..

"I bet you never knew What you've got yourself into"

    and the last bit

"All that I want is you All that I see is you All that you gotta do Is to set her free That's what That's what What you do about me"

This song is about almost cheating! but they both know its wrong because he has a gf and she doesn't want to get used! so she tells him to end it with his girl if he is serious about her because she wont let him cheat with her!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer

In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
