"Alone Again" Written by Don Dokken and Jeff Pilson...
I'd like to see you in the morning light
I like to feel you when it comes to the night
Now I'm here and I'm all alone
Still I know how it feels, I'm alone again

Tried so hard to make you see
But I couldn't find the words
Now the tears, they fall like rain
I'm alone again without you

Alone again without you
Alone again without you

I said, "Stay", but you turned away
Tried to say that it was me
Now I'm here and I've lost my way
Now I know how it feels, I'm alone again

Tried so hard to make you see
But I couldn't find the words
Now the tears, they fall like rain
I'm alone again without you

Alone again without you
Alone again without you
Alone again without you

I tried so hard to make you see
But I couldn't find the words
Now the tears, they fall like rain
I'm alone again without you

Alone again without you
Alone again, alone again
Alone again without you

General CommentOnly three people commented on this so far?

Anyway, great power ballad, one of my favorite from the era. As with ZAZZ, this song has personal meaning to me as of late...

And George Lynch just puts the icing on the cake with one of his insane solos.

Overall great song. You can really feel the pain from Don's voice.

General CommentDokken don't quite get the respect they deserve. This is my fav Dokken song, and one of my favorite ballads from the 80's.

General CommentThis song perfectly describes how I felt about my ex. It's as if Don read my mind. He has the most amazing voice in metal.

General CommentGreat rock ballad! Alone again has great personal meaning to me as well. You can feel the emotion through Don Dokken's voice. George Lynch's solo has great emotion. His best solo, IMHO.
Bon Jovi was more popular because he is commercial glam and family friendly which the record labels loved. -blah-

General CommentEveryone credits Motley Crew's "Home Sweet Home" for inventing the power metal ballad.

Bull sh*t. It started with the Scorpions (Still loving you), and then Dokken (Alone Again).

General CommentGreatest glam-metal ballad ever. How the fuck can Bon Jovi be more popular than Dokken?
