Wake me from this altered state
My futures' looking brighter all the time
I'm stumbling and delirious
Somethings' changed since the teenage days
I'm growing into my own
I'm the talk of the town
Looking strange in a faded world
There's nothing left to hide
When implicating the obvious
And its nothing we decide
Like you, like me
Twist my words so they read me wrong
The truth was never good enough for you
Is that the best you can do?
Talk me down, look me in the face
Look at you now, feeling like the clown
Next time you should think it over
There's nothing left to hide
When implicating the obvious
And its nothing we decide
Like you, like me
There's nothing left to hide
When implicating the obvious
And its nothing we decide
Like you, like me
There's no reason
You twist my words
Cuz youre helpless
Lost in a state of madness

General CommentUm, a little correction... It should be "there's nothing left to hide, when DUPLICATING the obvious. If you don't believe me, listen to the song for crying out loud! Anyways, to me this song is about growing up and leaving behind all the idiots who teased you in school. But I think it's also about having an identity crisis, and being unable to determine who you truly are. It has great meaning for me because as I've grown up, I've experienced some of the feelings this song seems to be describing. Once I listened to it when I was really depressed and it made me cry about all the stuff I've been through.
