i plan to outlive my enemies,
so i'll stick around till that's done.
Why don't you come and take a walk with me,
I'll tell you something.
You would have liked some friends of mine,
they made accidents happen,
they'd dig a body from the ground
give you the shirt off its back if you didn't have one
they were the bridgewater astral league
ooooh weeeee oooooooohhhh
bridgewater astral league
ooooh weeee oooooooohhhh

i will admit they sometimes scared me
but they were so much god damn fun,
they'd break into your house
just to move things around and
sometimes they'd leave you something.
but it wasn't what they did while in their bodies
which made me so uncomfortable,
it was the way they'd meet
while they were all asleep
and you never knew where they were–
they were the bridgewater astral league
ooooh weeeee oooooooohhhh
bridgewater astral league
ooooh weeee oooooooohhhh

are you a little pale my friend?
what are you giggling about?
are you leaving so soon?
its a beautiful night out.
like most kids we robbed from cars,
snuck into bars,
lived music and hung out.
but i tell you, the kids today,
i never see them over the clouds–

not like the bridgewater astral league

General CommentThe Bridgewater Astral League was a gang of kids who could astral project back in the 80's. They were also poetic terrorists, as can be seen in some of their actions("they'd break into your house just to move things around and sometimes they'd leave you something", also the fact that they talk in a poetic format in Incediarism, and that they did crime in the name of poetry, not greed).

This song has Dante Aligheri(who was a member of the League) explaining at the beginning of the song that he plans to outlive his enemies(he had to flee Florence because of political enemies). He is telling this story to a 17 year old by the name of Joe Tennis, who works for Dante right now, as Dante had to return to his grassroots after running for president(this is covered in Our Candidate). Joe is heading to a dead end in his life of probably being a thug for the rest of his life, and the only likely candidate to talk him into living in a life in an endless world of possibilities, as Joe holds him in high esteem as a sort of hero, because Dante went through Hell, Heaven, Purgatory, and then back.
