I kind of feel I've lost the words and the reasons
I sit at home, Drinking by myself
I get a headache from the things I believe in
The simple truths can be so absolute
I'll take my chances on the morning paper
A little bit of twitching and a workout maybe

I've got nothing to say, It's not the first time
I don't care, So do your worst cuz
I've got nothing to say, Got nothing to say

(He sits at home and drinks, symbolic of going against the grain and fighting prevalent ideas. He's lonely because the ideals he believes in set him apart from others. He comments on simple truths being absolute, because when you take issues down to their basic level, and make a choice either way, that can define entire aspects of your life. It can set you apart and against others who choose differently. When you break things down far enough, all controversies become black and white, and you have to take a stand on one side of the line.)

"I'll take my chances on the morning paper
A little bit of twitching and a workout maybe"

(He'll risk going outside of his house, his philosophy, and see if anything in the world has gotten better, or if he can see the world as a better place then he does. It might take effort, but perhaps he can change his views, and become a little more accepting of others. But, is this a good thing or a bad thing?)

"I've got nothing to say, It's not the first time
I don't care, So do your worst cuz
I've got nothing to say, Got nothing to say"

(If you don't take a stand on anything, you will be accepted by everyone, but loved by no one, because a person without opinions is nothing.)

General Commenthe's definitely not saying "i sit at home" sounds like "im spreading wall". that's obviously not right, but it's totally not 'i sit at home'
