"She's So Strange" as written by and Francis Healy....
She's so strange
And she wore a black mustache
And pilfered all the petty cash
She went to Birmingham
She'll soon be in the can

She's so cruel
And she knew what just what to do
And while the cats were all sniffing glue
They played their silly games
And now they'll take the blame

What she'd done
And she didn't know quite what she did
And they told her that she better had
So now she starts to cry
Without a reason why

She's so poor
And only now she's looking back
Sees her story on a paperback
What will become of her
There's not much left for her

General Commentthis song gives me an imagery such as this:
the dude is sitting in a dark empty room. just him and a stool he is sitting on and hes guitar.
he starts to reminisce about this girl.. and hes just singing about her.. and i dont know what the songis about, maybe love, maybe something else but it gives me the funkin chills . listen to this song while looking up at the stars.

General CommentYet another awesome song by TRAVIS. I'm not really sure what he is singing about or the intended meaning, but the music is really cool.

General Commentthe "she" fran healy is singing about seems to describe me. just like the person being referred to in the song "driftwood", "she" is heading to a path of self-destruction while being blissfully aware of her fate - making her fate even more so ironic. i think her fate can be interpreted in many ways: she left her previous happier (if not completely fulfilling) life for something demeaning and useless, pushed aside the person who loved her and moved away because she only thought of herself, etc. it may also be a general notation towards how hard to read and unpredictable women can be (or at least women he's known and had a relationship with).

General Commentso strange song! probably the best tune I ever heard in my hole life. it's a piece of art that remains for me as one of the greatest masterpieces of sound that human civilization ever made. the second half of the song is absolutely incredible. God bless you Fran wherever you are!
