"Sara" as written by Ina Wolf and Peter F. Wolf....
Go now, don't look back, we've drawn the line
Move on, it's no good to go back in time

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
We're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

Danger in the game when the stakes are high
Branded, my heart was branded while my senses stood by

I'll never find another girl like you, for happy endings it takes two
We're fire and ice, the dream won't come true

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time, oh
Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time for goodbyes

('Cause Sara) Loved me like no one has ever loved me before
(And Sara) Hurt me, no one could ever hurt me more
(And Sara) Sara, nobody loved me anymore

I'll never find another girl like you, no
We're fire and ice, and a dream

Sara
Sara, Sara no time is a good time, oh

Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara, no time is a good time, for good bye's
Sara, Sara, storms are brewin' in your eyes
Sara, Sara no time like the first time
Sara, Sara
Ooh Sara, why did it, why did it, why did it all fall apart
Sara, Sara (uh Sara)
Sara

General CommentOne of the ultimate sacrifices of love. Letting the other person leave to find true happiness, even if it will kill you for the rest of your life.

Their dreams of happiness are just too different (we're fire and ice, the dream won't come true) and the only way for her to be happy is for her to leave him.

This is just a final message saying It couldn't work between us, but I will always love you.

General Commenti hope people stop listening to this kind of music, and start to climb out of their self-loathing psychadelic love-struck "i can't live without you" states of mind.
no seriously , great songs, but these soft rock ballads are gonna spike the depression rates i tell ya, sooner or later ,lol

General Commentlol, this song...Psychadelic? The psychadelic era of this Airplane/Starship trio died with the seventies. They even coasted through the mellow era. Now it's the..."we can't write our own music", synthesized era. But hey, whose to say it isn't good anyway. This song was the reason I became a big starship fan. Beautifully written. I love it when the to Wolf's team up and write.

But people, come on. Seriously, how has no one ever mentioned that this isn't Jefferson Starship!?!?! Kantner went off the deep end and sued Mickey and the gang's asses for using his band name. Then they ditched "Jefferson" to have a very cruddy name.

General CommentThere's usually only one of these! Sometimes it's too late. That's life...
