"Heaven Is A Place On Earth" as written by and Ellen/nowels Shipley....
Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven, love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

When the night falls down
I wait for you and you come around
And the world's alive with the sound
Of kids on the street outside

When you walk into the room
You pull me close and we start to move
And we're spinning with the stars above
And you lift me up in a wave of love

Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

When I feel alone, I reach for you
And you bring me home
When I'm lost at sea I hear your voice
And it carries me

In this world we're just beginning
To understand the miracle of living
Baby, I was afraid before
But I'm not afraid anymore

Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth.
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

In this world we're just beginning
To understand the miracle of living
Baby, I was afraid before
But I'm not afraid anymore

Ooh, baby, do you know what that's worth?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
They say in heaven love comes first
We'll make heaven a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth

General CommentI have always thought this song to mean, well for one that we are lucky to be here and that our lives here on earth are somewhat better and more intense than what heaven is made out to be.

Example (by the way this is a very obvious love song) as the song title suggests stages of euphoric love could be describe as a whitelight heavnly feeling.

Infact I can relate I am in a relationship with a great lady that feels really intense like now other stage of love I have ever felt, feels like a natural high.

One last thing My fav verse in this wonderful song is "In this world we're just beginning to understand the miracle of living"!!!!

And we're spinning with the stars above,
And you lift me up in the web of love.

What great images. I can just see my 80's self in my almost-dark bedroom on a summer night, windows open, waiting for my boyfriend to get home. This kind of stuff you can only feel when you're young.
