Like the sun, yeah, I am one
Raising forth when I'm done
So high in the sky

And we'd say what we'd say
And we'd do as we please
And we'd break every rule
On our knees

Like the sun, yeah, I am one
Raising forth when I'm done
What you wait for in the sky, high, up high

And we'd break every rule
And we'd do as we please
And we'd drink what we want
On our knees

General CommentA song of loneliness...being alone in the world. Listen to this song in a dark room at night when depressed...that way, it will best make sense. It is like Billy from 1988 is reaching forward from the past to give us comfort through his own sadness.

The song kicks in nicely about midway through, and becomes triumphantly sad and haunting...always haunting...

General CommentVery beautiful song, sort of makes you feel distant while listening to it.
one of my favorites of their early demos.
