"Grace" as written by and Michael Peter Andrews....
Sometimes I feel like I am
Sailing on a sunken dream
I try to read the signs
But I don't know what they mean
I know when I'm with you
I'm a rich man baby

Grace, I'm not yet born
Come embrace
A soul that's torn
I have got so much to give you

My heart is starved of love
In these radio days
I try to listen hard
To what my conscience says
I know I've sold my soul
I'm going to earn it back now

Grace, I'm not yet born
Come embrace
A soul that's torn
I have got so much to give you

Now that you believe in me
We can fly away
Somewhere safe
I know that you will always be
Giving more than you take

I know when I'm with you
I'm a rich man baby
Grace, I'm not yet born
Come embrace
A soul that's torn
Grace, it can mend if you make my heart your friend

Grace
Grace
Grace
Grace

General CommentThis is such a sweet cute song....bossanova style...makes you feel good instantly, and show us how Robbie is when he is in love (back then he had a serious relationship with Nicole Appleton and he was head over heels for her). You can sense it in the whole "I've been expecting you" album, and so far it has not happened again...Robbie haven't had another quite long relationship since that one.
"I know when I'm with you I'm a rich man baby"....:)
A cute home made video of this song can be found in the dvd "Angels" :)

General CommentHave you ever noticed that the bossanova start has a very similar melody to the start of a song by The Style Council called Headstart for happiness?

General CommentSorry, I've never heard that one. But the bossanova feel is delicious.

General CommentActually, I was reading the other day that he wrote this song for his unborn daughter (Nicole Appleton was pregnant, she got an abortion due to pressure from her record label). He was very excited about the pregnancy.
