you're on and off.
phase in. phase out.

cross your heart crash burn and fall.

under cushions hide the change,
so no one knows.
just be careful who you tell.

i really want to care when you say
'i'll change that.'
i just don't feel a thing when you say
'we'll get there, someday...'

General Commenti've always thought the song was about losing faith in a relationship..
and about how lies can tear things apart.
    maybe i'm wrong. who knows.

the song is good on repeat.

General CommentI always thought that these lyrics were the end of "Digits" not a completely different song. Either way I lovewhen he says "phase in. phase out" - that rocks. JEW is the best band ever. Digits is the best of their obscure songs. BUY STATIC PREVAILS!!!

General CommentI love when he goes "get there...someday"-thats so sweet. I agree this is the end of "digits". Not many people have static prevails. they should. I think the girl is going too fast for him, and when she says "we'll get there someday" he just cant see it working out.- - - thanx, TuGi

General CommentI can relate to this song...it reminds me of my Ex who recently just broke up with me...he said that "someday a little down the road i know we'll get together again i kno this"(this guy knows who he is...and i miss him.. )...well i think that after awhile i start to think it's never gunna happen...yu can wait for the one yu love...but yu can't waste each day on and off just thinking about it....thats what i think this song means...yu just have to live in the moment and go with the flow...thats the best advice someone's ever given me
