Tell all your friends I'm the cure
Tell them again and again
Watching the walls, spinning in doors
I can bring you peace of mind
Use me whenever you please
Sweeter than sweet memories
Everything's neat, avoiding the heat
I can give you peace of mind

All this pressure I can't handle

Everything else becomes dim
You're so much better than them
Waiting around for something to happen
Bring you this instant relief

Kilo pascals in my finger
God is hiding in this teacup

General CommentWhen and where this song was written heroin was all the rage. While it is common to misinterpret many songs as "being about drugs", this song is definitely about using/abusing heroin. When it was released there was quit a bit of controversy since it does seem to be so pro-heroin. Note the album this song is on was recorded in Byron Bay. I learned my information from a long stay in that hippie-druggie-surfing-tourist town. See also "Surfing With a Spoon"
