"Party Of My Mind" as written by and Adrian Kelvin Borland....
When I woke up this morning
And you were on my mind.
You were on my mind

I got troubles, woe-woe
I got worries, woe-woe
I got wounds to bind.

So I went to the corner
Just to ease my pain
I said, just to ease my pain.

I got troubles, woe-woe
I got worries, woe-woe
I came home again.

When I woke up this morning
And you were on my mind.
And you were on my mind.

I got troubles, woe-woe
I got worries, woe-woe
I got wounds to bind.

But I gotta feelin` yeah
Down in my shoes
I said, way down in my shoes.

I got a rainbow, woe-woe
I gotta move on, woe-woe
I gotta walk away my blues.

When I woke up this morning
And you were on my mind
I said, you were on my mind.

Well I got troubles, woe-woe
I got worries, woe-woe
I got wounds to bind.

General CommentIngenious song. The whole song mirrors an actual party; everything starts out relatively happy and peaceful until something starts 'going wrong'. In the final verse we have 'some talk, some cry' (not shown in the lyrics here, sadly) which reflects the change in mood, and the despondent, discordant solo at the end, along with the disjointed piano playing and screaming.

Easily the best song on All Fall Down, so catchy and the lyrics are second to none.

General CommentWell it's a song about friendship...dreams to share, an invitation to fantasies. Let's be mad, everything is possible. The limits are in our heads.

General CommentI think this song is about Adrian Borland's mental illness, and it brings his own obsession with duality:
"some talk, some laugh vs. some talk, some cry"
That's a recurrent subject in Adrian's Lyrics, and he said that he could only write about his life, about things that happened to him, I think that's what majes him so special, he was a genius, one of the best songwriters ever, if you ask me.
