Golden haze,
Another morning feels like yesterday...
End of may;
Now you're gone and there's still bills to pay.
And you know it doesn't help to make believe you're sitting next to me.
It doesn't help to make believe that you are right behind me
Saying it's okay.
Longer days,
More time to sit and watch the pendulum sway.
In quiet rage I'm staring at an empty notebook page...
In times like these you feel like you are done with feeling,
You feel you want to stop the pain from healing
Because you feel like you're the only one who ever felt this way.
Some days in a daze, there's brighter days.
Funny how the feeling never stays,
But I know I'll have to come to terms when I'm awake,
Thinking about you is the icing on the cake...
Makes me realize the fact you're gone for good
For goodness sake.
Golden haze,
Another morning feels like yesterday.
End of may,
A year is gone and I still feel this way,
And when we meet again I'll ask you how you're doing
And you'll say fine and ask me how I'm doing
And then I'll lie and I'll say ordinary,
It's just an ordinary day.

General CommentI can't believe I'm the first person to comment on this song! This is an absolutely beautiful piece of work! All about a guy dealing with losing his girl and how he pretends to be over it, but he's not. Love it to death, and the Actual Tigers!

General CommentI'm #2 comment, and only a year after #1, SuperRad! This is a really good song, so sad that he can't let go, and looks forward to seeing a girl gone for good, just so he can pretend to be over her. Beautifully simple lyrics.

General CommentEr, yeah, here nearly two years after the last comment.
I love this song, but it troubles me that I was thinking of my boyfriend when it came on...

I love their mellow songs. I can't do the upbeat ones, but this one, and a few others, are love.

General CommentFunny, now i'm 6 years after the last comment. But this song, is trully my favourite. I think pretty hard to notice what the meaning behind it about two years ago, after my first (pretty messy) broke up. Then I realize it was trully reflected my feeling. So, yeah. It made me cry too. (like, a lot).

So, I kind of agree that this song is about a man who couldnt move on from his girlfriend, and pretend that he's fine even after a few years after.
And my fav lines is this.

"In times like these you feel like you are done with feeling,
You feel you want to stop the pain from healing
Because you feel like you're the only one who ever felt this way.
Some days in a daze, there's brighter days.
Funny how the feeling never stays,
But I know I'll have to come to terms when I'm awake,
Thinking about you is the icing on the cake...
Makes me realize the fact you're gone for good
    For goodness sake."

The man got disappointed by the girl's decision. And that he never thought feelings would change, never stay the same. But then he tried to accept the situation by admiting the break up was for the best.

    Hope I assume it right.
