"Public Display Of Affection" as written by and Ross Godfrey Paul Godfrey....
They're for all to see
Self-contained lovers
Welded orally
No run for cover
I'd join in the fun
If I had someone
But it seems I'm undone

These public displays of affection
Surely your love must be new
I can't wait for my next rejection
I'm always the first in the queue

Try to hold your soul
But I'll crush your spirit
Why do I feel so close?
When I can't get near it
I'm flooded with fear
And it don't disappear
But I'm still standing here

These public displays of affection
Surely your love must be new
So conscious of my imperfections
I've never lost interest in you

These public displays of affection
Surely your love must be new
You're natural over-protection
Leaves me with nothing to do

These public displays of affection
Surely your love must be new
I've got no time for reflection
My service is long overdue

General CommentIt talks about people who cannot make public diplays of affection for fearing to be rejected by the other ones and how this affects their existence, since they have to control their own feelings when they are in public. On the 1st part of this lyrics, he/she is too scared for trying a relationship, but on the 2nd one, he/she gets more courage for facing this situation and he/she seems to have got an affair, though he/she is still too insecure for dealing with it. And now his/her lover is trying to help him/her for winning your fear related to PDA ("You're not sure over-protection leaves me with nothing to do"), and he/she is feeling so relieved that he/she doesn't want to think about anything else except for learning to make PDA without caring about the other people...

General CommentI should write "And now his/her lover is trying to help him/her for winning his/her fear related to PDA...".

General CommentAbout a woman or a dude who makes excuses. S/he needs beauty and youth and is embarrassed to be seen with anyone who doesn't fit that mold. Really a simple song with universal appeal considering how our society views physical beauty and aging.
