"With a Little Help from My Friends" as written by John Winston Lennon and Paul James Mccartney....
What would you think if I sang out of tune
Would you stand up and walk out on me
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Hmm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Hmm, going to try with a little help from my friends

What do I do when my love is away
Does it worry you to be alone?
How do I feel by the end of the day
Are you sad because you're on your own?

No, I get by with a little help from my friends
Hmm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Hmm, going to try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody?
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody?
I want somebody to love

Would you believe in a love at first sight?
Yes, I'm certain that it happens all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light?
I can't tell you, but I know it's mine

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Hmm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Hmm, going to try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody?
I just need someone to love
Could it be anybody?
I want somebody to love

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Hmm, going to try with a little help from my friends
Oh, I get high with a little help from my friends
Yes, I get by with a little help from my friends
With a little help from my friends

    General CommentHey!
Ringo had a voice suited for all these songs, deep and meaningful. He is far from retarted. Sure they had their fun giving shit to Ringo, but he was just as talanted as the rest of them. The Beatles were a hollistic group. They did so well cause they worked together. You can't single any of them out and still expect them to have achieved so much success without any of the others.

General CommentMetChick summed it up perfectly. Oh, and the few songs Ringo did write for the group were FAR from "retarded." Next time you criticize be sure not to use "retarded" as a putdown because it makes you seem unbelievably ignorant.

General Commentthis song is ringo's best controbution to the Beatles through his voice. Its mellow and cool. None of the others could have done it.

General CommentBite Me you are a fucking moron, to say the least...

Ringo was recently induced into the PAS (Percussive Arts Society) hall of fame because he is the best drumset player whoever lived...

And the reasons they gave him the song to sing (as somebody said) is that his voice just suited it...and if it's so easy, why don't you send us a recording of you singing it better... ;)

General CommentBilly Shears is Ringo. Paul made up that name for him like an alter ego for Sgt Pepper's L H C Band.

General CommentThis may be a bit off-topic, but the most irritating part of Sgt. Pepper's (the CD version) is how track *2* starts with the end "Bil-ly Shears!". Makes it difficult to just listen to LHCB or this song independantly (in MP3 format, that is)

General CommentThere is nothing wrong with this song and how it is sung. And you'll only like the Joe Cocker version if you were a fan of "the wonder years". And if it wasnt for ringo, were would we be without Thomas the Tank Engine?
