just to the edge of the lake i'm walking you back
watching you throw yourself to the windy city again, once again my friend
and i just have to let you go away again
i'm not so good at goodbyes, so we'll leave it at "see you soon"
i know that we can see this through

with decision taking hold, throwing a fork in the open road
you can't turn it away,
and i just have to let you go away again
i'm not so good at goodbyes, so we'll leave it at "see you soon"
i know that we can see this through

it's a memory of the way we had it

General CommentThis song makes me cry. When i first heard it i didnt understand what the lyrics were but now that i see them written out i see the emotion in every word he sings. This is a song that hits home- and one that makes you wonder it anything is really goodbye.
