"To Forgive Is To Suffer" as written by and Chuck Schuldiner....
Throughout our time a thought
Escapes us to enforce a word, no
Holding on to pain it may seem to some

The easy way to say o.k., twist your
Knife a little deeper
Words to sharp actions dark
Hide the blade of the deceiver.

Enforce the words no more, be free
Alone you might just find serenity.

To accept another day we choose
To give away another piece of life
To forgive is to suffer

Once or twice is kind
Three or four is blind
It is not the end yet a way to begin
The power of words both good and bad.

General CommentIt's about forgiving someone which really pisses you off because you look weaker and it kills you inside.

General CommentIt seems as though there is a bit of ambiguity involved in the song, for it is acknowledging that forgiveness is a form of suffering yet to suffer with meaning. Since the negativity of suffering is dependent on the attitude towards it, I.e. 'Pain is inevitable, misery is optional', Suffering is a means of utility for one's quality of life. The constantly forgive is not so much a suppression of pain, but rather the freedom from it. The point of forgiveness that it sets the victim free. Forgiveness is for the forgiver and not the perpetrator.

General CommentThis is about an exam marker who wins a 50p coupon for his local Trading Post. He goes there and there is a man waiting for him. The man gives him his coupon. He buys a bottle of Sunny Delight with the coupon. He drinks it on a bench in the sunshine. He feels refreshed.
