Another time, another space
Mark my words, I can't fake another day of sadness
My heart's been taken whole
And this dream is getting old
Yet I'm searching every part of me, baby

The tables' turned, that's for sure
Guilt and honor have crossed into what's left for holding on
You know things are getting hard
When we see them as they are
Can these qualities remain the same?

Woman, feeling good about the choice I made
In so deep there ain't no judgment day
If there was I think I'd be okay

Woman, please release me from your hold tonight
Burning bridges in the morning light
I'm just heavy on this city life

Oh, I tried to tell you
But it's too late to find out
Hanging on the back of my will
Waiting for the moment to be still

Save your problems baby
Save your problems for the world
Then they might go away, go away

I've been contemplating
Keeping it complicated
For when you want to turn the day in
And I just want to turn the day around
I know it hurts a lot
But I gave what I got
Now I'll be getting on my way

Woman, feeling good about the choice I made
In so deep there ain't no judgment day
If there was I think I'd be okay

Woman, please release me from your hold tonight
Burning bridges in the morning light
I'm just heavy on this city life

Tried so hard to love you
But I keep on running
Burning bridges in the morning light
Morning light

Its about a guy making a decision to leave his girl. Leave all the complications and problems. He's breaking all ties and leaving it all behind

This guy is sooooooo awesome in concert, everysong he plays i can relate to in some way, this song reminds me of an ex that i had, except that i can't seem to burn all the bridges. i tried soo hard to love her, but i kept on running for some reason,

i've been contemplatin' keepin' it complicated for when you wanna turn the day in and i just wanna turn the day around i know it hurts a lot but i gave what i got now i'll be gettin' on my way

i know with her i kept things sooo complicated and i contemplated breakin up but it was something that i just couldn't do, but i finally did it, but now i find it hard to leave her behind, like don't get me wrong i'm glad i left her, but theres something that wants to keep her in my life. but that's my interpretation of this song.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
