an extreme solution
no fossil fuels
exhaust rattles
a madman's vast direct
iron grooved world
primary state
average distance
closer to the sun
draws a comet nearer
to a complex destruction
a spectre so violent in its views
lies impervious
has a tendency under pressure
to reveal its identity
gaping hole
bright star
in the cloth of time
unity among
such a poor existence
in this third world
resistance should be used
civil disobedience
central pivot
heated combustion
back to the origin
of it all
all of it no
unwarranted fear courage
shown the white line on
the ball we live on
deserted streets
hallucinated the bursted species
abnormal conditions
deep sentiment
for repulsive power
nations knows
immense populace
and progress
never progressed
out of the sun
all experiments prove
not need
the established greed
and pain inflicted
on the animal model
still nothing
no cure
the ravaged instinct
silent waking
to a chemical perversion
wartime underground imperfect
plotting grows the seeds of time

General Commentwhat are the odds that "a spectre so violent in its views" is "A. Specter" or "Arlen Specter", US Senator?

General Commenti thought it was "animal conditions- deep sentiment". he always says "animal" like "AN-EE-MAL". anyway, it's about human pollution destroying the world i think.

General Commentyeah, really. too bad we haven't completely green-ified america .... if Skinny Puppy had been as big as NIN or Maralyn Manson, maybe things WOULD have been different.... too bad those phonies got big instead of SP.... too bad.

General Commentyes, this song ( and most of the album "Too Dark Park", for that matter ) seems to be about man polluting the environment and abusing it's natural resources. This song relates the idea of hidden energies and beings being related to this abuse... like ghosts, spectres or demons that are watching what man is doing to the environment from within.
