I stand alone on the cliffs of the world
No one ever tends to me
Sitting alone, covered in rays
Some things are so my mind can breathe

The waiting is hard
Fucking takes so long
Draped in sun, hands in sand
Earth acid cleanses me
It cleanses me clean
But the world it never comes

It never comes
It never comes
It never comes

I lay on my side in the edge of the room
She never expects anything from me
When all the days, the days of the year
I know I miss that part of me

Waiting is hard
Fucking takes so long
Draped in sun, hands in sand
Earth acid cleanses me
It cleanses me clean
But the world, it never comes

It never comes
It never comes
It never comes
It never comes
It never comes

I think you're all wrong. He does say room and not womb. He also says "Calms" not "Comes" or "Cums." It's very possible this song is about a woman, or a past relationship and he's very lonely. The quick pace of the world never lets him settle, or anyone else for that matter, the world it never calms.

All I know about this song is that it's absolutely beautiful. The hushed lyrics and the guitar changing it's pace go so well

    It's about doing mushrooms.

"Some things are so the mind can breath" - A psychadelic experience is a lot of times refreshing and a needed experience. "Waiting is hard—fucking takes so long" - he's waiting for the drug to kick in. "Earth Acid cleanses me, it cleanses me clean" - If you've done shrooms you'd know its got many parallels to acid (LSD), but it is like "earth's acid" because it comes from the earth

The verse that starts with the line "I lay on my side on the edge of the room" is about actually being under the influence of the drug. He is tripping out. The earth has given him this gift and she does not expect anything in return for the trip.

I like this song very much, and according to me speaks about sex: "I lay on my side in the edge of the WOMB", not room! I think this passage speaks about that kind of women who are only able to have sex, not more. Always IMHO!

I think it's about him being in touch with the planet. Saying screw it to women and sex and loving his planetm he'd rather sleep with it. There's no hassle with fucking the world, no need to cum.

Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
