"Sunrise" as written by and Peter Townshend....
You take away the breath I was keeping for sunrise
You appear and the morning looks drab in my eyes
And then again, I'll turn down love
Having seen you again
Once more you'll disappear
My morning put to shame

You take away the breath I was keeping for sunrise
You appear and the morning looks drab in my eyes
And then again I'll turn down love, having seen you again
Once more you'll disappear
My morning put to shame

Sometimes I fear that this will go on my life through
Each day I spend in an echoed vision of you
And then again I'll turn down love
Remembering your smile
My every day is spent
Thinking of you all the while

The times I've let myself down
My head's spinning 'round
My eyes see only you
The chances I've lost, opportunities tossed
Away and into the blue

You take away the breath I was keeping for sunrise
You appear and the morning looks drab in my eyes
And then again I'll turn down love
Having seen you again
Then again you'll disappear
My morning put to shame

General CommentA song about someone that just cannot let go of a crush. He turns down other chances for love, possibly due to 'limerence', "the illusion of reciprocated affection from an intense attraction where there is none", but then she disappears and he feels stupid for passing up the other opportunities.

And it just keeps happening, because she's more beautiful than the sunrise and he can't let that go.

I know exactly how he feels.

General CommentWow, this song has no comments. It is so beautiful. You cannot describe his feelings, but you can hear it in his singing.

General CommentMaybe about an old flame he is still in love with, he allways sees her back about the time things are going good with another person, and realises he wants the old flame more than the new girl. Then when he persues the old flame again things don't work out the way he wanted and he's feeling sorry for himself realising he could have been having a very good relationship with the new girl.

General CommentAdn then Again I'll turn the love down. I love this song one of my fouvourite Who's songs. Las dos guitarras son exquisitas, la letra y las voces. Sacre blue. Pete es todo un genio.
