"Brand New Hero" as written by Aaron Barrett, Matt Wong, Scott Allen Klopfenstein, Dan Regan and Carlos F. Garza....
I've got big dreams but no self-esteem, you know?
I'd reach for the stars but I can't find my arms
All this time we've accomplished so much
Why can't I believe why can't I just feel love?

Goin' away leavin' today you've gotta find a brand new hero
I let you down when you're not around you know I can't be trusted with anything
All this time we've wanted so much to just belong why can't we just feel love?
Goin' away leavin today you've gotta find a brand new hero
What will they say when I've gone away? Gotta find a brand new hero

General CommentI think this song has 2 meanings the first is how he says"I've got big dreams but no self-esteem, you know?
I'd reach for the stars but I can't find my arms" i think its about how he has good ideas and plans but he doesnt believe in himself and doesnt do anything. But people look up to him and think he is a hero but to himself he is nothing so he is saying he cant be a hero. The 2nd thing is about love... his girlfriend thinks he is such a great b/f but he doesnt love her and he lets her down

General Commentwell whoever posted this lyric wasn't to aware that there is another verse on the Cheer Up CD. here it is:

Always talkin but i never say a lot
And I'll blow it if i get another shot
Cause it seems like no matter what I've got
    it feels like it's nothin,
    I feel like I'm nothing.

That's my favorite lyric (besides something corporate "konstantine")
punkskater, i agree, he is leaving his gf who loves him as a hero. But this verse sort of explains his esteem problem and why he has to leave her. He feels like no matter what he does or how many chances she gives him to "not be trusted with anything" he can't do anything right. and he feels like he is nothing because he can't find love in a girl that thinks so highly of him. Good song, and a damn fine CD, get it today.

General CommentI think the first two lines mean, he has dreams and goals, but he lacks the means or willpower to try and grab them.

I think he's being more down on himself than anyone else.
