A boy, a girl- a love story.
But why did it end in misery?
Taking our chances, getting our thrills..
Taking and taking but never getting our fill.
And this is what I see.
A modern love story.
Love defined on our TV.
Telling us, teaching us what we need.
Are we in love or just so alone,
That were looking for anyone to hold?
When the prey is caught, the thrill gone,
So well switch partners and move along.
And we wont use our brains,
Because our lust is too strong.
Overlooking the person to whom the body belongs.

General CommentOld GlassJAw song, hardcore sound to it. I think the lyrics define exactly what happens a lot these days wiith people in relationships. They too often overlook the person to whom the body belongs.

General CommentYep... it's about these damn junior high relationships. "But why did it end in misery?" - means why would you be so sad about the breakup if you didn't even love the person in the first place. "Taking our chances, getting our thrills"- we get our thrills from taking our chances with someone new every few weeks. "Loved defined on our TV"- self explanitory. "Are we in love, or just so alone, that we're looking for anyone to hold"- we feel that we need to love someone to be happy and not feel so alone, and we feel so alone that we'll look for anyone to hold.

Now, when I say we, I don't mean me and everyone else, just the people who feel this way.. everyone in junior high.
