"Valerie" as written by Aaron Barrett, Matt Wong, Scott Allen Klopfenstein, Dan Regan and Carlos F. Garza....
Back when I met you I didn't have a clue of the horrible agony
You would put me through
But now that we've done some time and I know who you are
You're so full of shit how did it get so far?
Well you ruined my life, you were never my friend
And now all I can hope is that I'll never see you again

Valerie, you make me wish I was dead
Valerie, you're like a knife in my head
I'll never ever be the same my life is ruined, you're too blame
Every moment of the year we spent you pushed me further and further over the edge
Maybe you didn't mean it ,maybe you're sorry as well but I know that you are evil, you came
Straight out of hell
Well you wasted my time, all of my money too
I never really hated until I met you

Valerie, you make me wish I was dead
Valerie, you're like a knife in my head
I'll never ever be the same my life is ruined, you're to blame
Well you ruined my life, you were never my friend
And now all I can hope is that I'll never see
You again

Valerie, you make me wish I was dead
Valerie, you're like a knife in my head
I'll never ever be the same my life is ruined, you're to blame

General CommentWhat's truly harsh about this song is that he actually gives a name. Most bands, no matter how angry they are, don't use names. Poor Aaron. If I was Valerie, I think I'd have to kill myself.

General CommentMaybe he never even dated a Valerie...sometimes they just make up names too. Just b/c they give a name, doesnt mean it was actually their girl's name.

General CommentThe Song is about the producer for the album CHEER UP. His name was VAL. They wrote the song as if it was about a girl to mask their hate for VAL. don't tell me i'm wrong either its on the RBF DVD with the commentary. This guy was suposedly crazy and even like handed Aaron a loaded gun one time while they were driving around.

General CommentWhen i saw this band live in 2003, they played this tune and replaced "Valerie" with "Starting Line" (the band who opened). Nothing beats a band and a 100 people all screaming "STARTING LINE... YOUMAKEMEWISHIWASDEAAAAAD!"
