Who's so fly up in the sky
Faster than any boy could ever describe?
Who has got a love so deep
With everything alive?

I said
Jet Boy's fly
Jet Boy's gone
Jet Boy stole my baby

Flyin' around New York City so high
Like he was my baby

This's the kinda place where no one cares
What you're living for
And Jet Boy's so preoccupied
He don't care 'bout before

And that's why
Jet Boy's fly
Jet Boy's gone
Jet Boy stole my baby

Flyin' around New York City so high
Like he was my baby

My baby

Jet Boy's fly, you know
Jet Boy's gone
Jet Boy stole my baby

Flyin' around New York City so high
Like he was my baby

We was all endangered charms
Swear we're havin fun
And Jet Boy goes after all we've done
That's why he's the one

That's why
Jet Boy's fly
Jet Boy's gone
Jet Boy stole my baby

Flyin' around New York City so high
Like he was my baby

My pretty baby
My pretty, pretty baby
My pretty baby

When I first came around this dump
I knew I couldn't stay
'Cause up above the world are Jet Boy
That's how I gotta play

Don't ya know why
Jet Boy's fly
Jet Boy's gone
Jet Boy stole my baby

Flyin' around New York City so high
Like he was my baby, like he was my baby
Like he was my baby, like he was my baby
Like he was my baby

Jet Boy's fly
And ya know he's gone
I said he been gone
Gone, gone, gone

And he been flying
He been flying
He's been flying
He's been flying

Baby, up all night
Baby, New York City
Baby, so, so high
Baby, so, so high

Don't you know that
Like he was my baby
Like he was my baby
Like he was my baby
Like he was my-my-my-my baby
My-my-my-my baby (like he was my baby)
My-my-my-my (Like he was my baby)
My baby, my baby (Like he was my baby)
M-m-m-m-m-my baby
My baby

i think jet boy is someone living in the fast lane. trying not to have a dull moment in hteir life. and when they sense a dull moment comming they leave at dull moment and continue living as fast as they can

"We was all endangered charms Swear we're havin fun And Jet Boy knows all we done That's why he's the one

i'm almost 100% sure i'm wrong, but the way i interpret this song is there's a guy, and he's got a girl, and he's paranoid about other guys (jet boys) flying around and threatening to steal his girl.

Jet Boy seems to be a term for young boys interested in or discovering their homosexual feelings. Thus the lyrics are quite self explaining.

I think the comments are generally right. A dude that is just an overall happy dude that just running around the city having fun. Based on the height references, he's probably indulging in some drugs.

He stole the narrator's girl probably she was interested in his drugs (Flying around New York City so high, Like he was my baby").

The narrator is concerned with his lost girlfriend, but it doesn't sound like he necessarily hates Jet Boy for it. Idk if he is as interested in drugs as Jet Boy and his girlfriend though. I get the feeling he is relatively clean. The "endangered charms" stanza seems to be him saying that they are trying to have fun without drugs. Also "when I first game around this dump, I knew I couldn't stay" might be him saying he can't stand the drug culture of the Jet Boys despite the good time they are having.

The song is about a dude called Jet Boy (I think it's Johnny Thunders) and about getting high as f*ck.

I actually came here to see if somebody knew wtf "endangered charms" means. Some drug I assume.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
