"December Elegy" as written by Morten Veland, Morten Veland, Anders Hoeyvik Hidle and Einar Moen....
May thou carry me to the sea
Like autumn leaves... heaven wither
Savage is the winter prevailing within
I fall for thee... Sorrow entreating me
Makes me leave heaven

I find thy lilies there of snow
where once I died... weeping for thee
Everlasting seems the strife ascending within
Falling for thee...
Darkness confounding me
Makes me leave life

Breed my woe
Descend with broken wings
Midwinternight inside
Merged by life... like thousand
frozen tears
Come melt the ice... maytime…

General CommentI think its probably just about winter. The band are from the netherlands, and in the winter there you only get a few hours of light each day. Last verse talks about "midwinternight inside" as in, the very darkest of their dark nights. And people are known to get depressed in the winter there because it just dark all day - probably when the song was written.
