On the light
On the low
All this time
I always
Have the light
On for you
But I know I'm a fool
Yes, I know

On the light
On the low
All this time
I always have the light on for you
But I know I'm a fool
Yes, I know (yes, I know)

(on the low...)
(ba ba ba...)

On the light
On the low
All this time
I always (I always)
Have the light (have the light)
On for you (on)

(on...)

General Commentthis song is about loving someone so much even if they dont feel the same and it bascially says that no matter what youll always love them and you realize that your a fool and doing that is not right but you cant help it because there always that slight possibilty ilghtning could strike

General Commenthelplessness. and accepting that you will always have feelings for someone, despite that they have moved on and there's no point to keeping a light on for them anymore. it's like accepting a personal flaw, the way she sings it and the beat suggest that it's something she lives with and has come to terms that she will probably live with it forever and that makes her a fool but it's no different than any other habit or flaw that we form in the course of our lives--when we're used to something and things change sometimes we keep acting as if they never did.
