"The Torch" as written by and David James/almond Ball....
Wash away all the lines on your face that show how you've aged it's a long way down
Your back's been broken you can't make the rounds the tables are turned as the litany goes...
You're a rotten old man who'll be covered in dirt on your knees
And pray to the maker that caused you to bleed

Turn back the hand on the clock
You're a bitter old man who's done nothing
But work your hands to the bone on the assembly lines
You've grown cold to the touch of the ones that you love
Ignorance is something you can't over come but you've passed it on down
And that's something much worse for a bitter young man...
Is now taking the torch

Silent scorn - you've taken it out on the ones you adore Inside rage
They've left you before but they'll come back again
They'll pray for you with all their love
But this time your indifference just can't be excused Forced amends
Well it's something you'll die with but it goes on for them...
For a bitter young man...has now taken the torch...

General CommentMy friend always used to tell me this song reminded him of his dad he's been doing a mans man's job biulding houses from scratch etc , having to work all his life now hes getting older i.e 'your backs ben broken you cant make the rounds' and now he's just bitter (you've taken it out on the ones you adore)

General CommentThis is a totally cool song, and Terraryzin's story really shows what it's about. One bitter old man handing his bitterness and hard life down to his son.

General CommentWhaaa...one of the saddest songs i've ever heard. Maybe we can learn something from it. Don't let ignorance and bitterness take you over.

General Commentbefore i say this i hafta say that i completely respect DkM and love most of their songs. but i feel like this song wasnt given the effort it should have gotten. its meaningful but the lyrics shouldnt been deeper, the flute in the backround didnt do the song flow that well, and at certain points words were jus crammed in and it jus didnt sound good.
