"La Isla Bonita" as written by and Bruce Gaitsch Patrick Leonard....
Como puede ser verdad

Last night I dreamt of San Pedro
Just like I'd never gone, I knew the song
A young girl with eyes like the desert
It all seems like yesterday, not far away

Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be
La isla bonita
And when the samba played
The sun would set so high
Ring through my ears and sting my eyes
Your Spanish lullaby

I fell in love with San Pedro
Warm wind carried on the sea, he called to me
Te dijo te amo
I prayed that the days would last
They went so fast

Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be
La isla bonita
And when the samba played
The sun would set so high
Ring through my ears and sting my eyes
Your Spanish lullaby

I want to be where the sun warms the sky
When it's time for siesta you can watch them go by
Beautiful faces, no cares in this world
Where a girl loves a boy, and a boy loves a girl

Last night I dreamt of San Pedro
It all seems like yesterday, not far away

Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be
La isla bonita
And when the samba played
The sun would set so high
Ring through my ears and sting my eyes
Your Spanish lullaby

Tropical the island breeze
All of nature wild and free
This is where I long to be
La isla bonita
And when the samba played
The sun would set so high
Ring through my ears and sting my eyes
Your Spanish lullaby

La la la la la la la
Te dijo te amo
La la la la la la la
El dijo que te ama

General CommentIt speaks about a girl who visited a town in a tropical island and fell in love with a boy there. She wants to go back again, but she cannot. So she longs for these days she spent there.

General CommentMadonna visited a beautiful tropical island and fell in love with it's culture and beauty. Wish I could visit a warm, gorgeous tropical island...

This song has a fun beat and tune, plus it's good for annoying your spouse/significant other when you play it really loud and sing along.

General CommentIt's not SIESTA, is FIESTA (party)

"I want to be where the sun warms the sky
When it's time for FIESTA you can watch them go by
Beautiful faces, no cares in this world
Where a girl loves a boy, and a boy loves a girl"

General CommentThe lyrics of this song are very specific. It's about a vacation Madonna took with her husband. They were in Belize, in the town of San Pedro.

General CommentMy hypothesis is that San Pedro is in California USA, and not in a tropical island. San Pedro California is known for addiction rehabilitation. In every case the song is very good.

General CommentThe song is not about California but about San Pedro--a city in Abergris Caye, the island off the coast of Belize.

MemoryLa Isla Bonita-Madonna's First Evita Prelude is a lovely and beautiful Ciccone ballad-Madonna relishes performing it live. A Brilliant Confession/Prayer of Love, Art and Brilliance! I Love This Song!. Madonna Relishes and Cries in this song in Happy Smiles and Sad Tears! Loving it All in a beautiful love song and Ciccone/Peron/Simpson melody! Madonna Forever! Love You Madge!
