I don't mean to sound cliché
You had a perfect world and you threw it away
You had the whole thing resting in your hands and acted like you really didn't give a damn
When you realize that you are wrong, I hope you take a step back and listen to this song time and time again
And realize what could have been
Why are you so selfish?
You got you and I'm jealous
And it seems like every day I think of you in another way
Whether it be questions from a friend or I meet another girl named Erin, a skinhead girl with hardcore mind, and a punk rawk heart who captured mine.
Walking along and I'm singing this song, hoping that maybe you'll hum along
Late night days on Clematis Ave, me and you and what I thought we had catching coffee with your Christian friends
Talking about you and your new men
Maybe we could catch a show
Means so much more than you'll ever know
Thinking back about everything, me and you just seem to ring.
What I feared has begun to start.
The time has come and we've grown apart
The phone now, it fails to ring
And if it does it's not you for me
I often wonder what could have been with this angel of a friend
Maybe one day we'll see, her holding hands back with me

One of their best songs live, everytime they play it, all the people are singin along with the chorus and dancin, and it gives me a great feeling

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
