"My Last Serenade" as written by and Adam Dutkiewitz Joel Stroetzel....
This revelation is the death of ignorance
Tangled in a state of suffocation
Slave to self righteousness
Damnation is on your lips

From sorrow to serenity, the truth is absolution,
From sorrow to serenity, its on your head

This is my last serenade
I feel you as you fall away
This is my last serenade
From yourself you can't run away

It's your choice, point the finger
But it's on your head
Your destination is a choice within yourself
Will you rise or become a slave
To self righteousness
Open up your heart and gaze within

General CommentThis is song is beautiful. Killswitch Engage is the best and has been the best since I first heard them. How much better can this band get? The skys the limit here. We're looking at a huge band in the future of local hardcore. (Boston) !

General CommentI compared them to old Metallica...when they made decent music, if you listen some of the opening parts to some of their songs do sound alot like stuff off of "Ride the Lightning", and a few of their songs sound like left-overs fron "...and Justice for All". Yes they do sound like a bit of Machinehead. They aren't completely original, KSE is a really great band but they do have a bit of those two band's sounds as well as many other bands in their music. And they arent hardcore, "Alive or Just Breathing" is a Metal album (with Hardcore influences), their earlier work may be hardcore but like it or not they are very much a Metal band, based on that album.

General CommentWell "hardcore" is essentialy just a new form of thrash-metal. Very early Metallica-esque sound. And to some extent also a good bit of Slayer...well thats what I hear anyway. To me KSE are a metal band, but it really doesn't matter what style they play or who their influences are...its just damn good music, nothing more.
