You said that we would always be friends
You said our love would never end
all you gave to me were scars on my heart
all you did to me was tear my world apart
and left these scars on my heart

You took my love and made it bend
You knew my money was for you to spend
You stabbed my heart with the sharpest darts
and all you left me with were scars on my heart

scars on my heart

You took my love way past the line
You took this broken heart and you made it mine
but I don't need your sympathy
I don't need one damn thing

Now I'm scarred
Now I'm scarred
Now I'm scarred, forever

General CommentGreat fucking song! Really makes them think of my ex and all the shit that has gone down. This band really needs to be shown to more of the public but not mainstream! lol

General Commentsorry but this song is not lame, i think its good n the effect ( if you kno what that is) is one of the best in any song as of late. It aint amazing but it shows promise. Grow up n stop bashin shit, ok you don't like it great for you dont comment on the song, this is called song meanings.

Therefore: i think it has alot to do with a bad breakup n how the person hurt most is thinking back about everything that was said n everything that was promised.

It's funny that you feel the need to comment on almost every E80 song saying Broken Promises is their only good song while bashing all the rest of them.

As Loc4485 said, this is song meanings, not song opinions. Get the fuck out of here, no one cares about you.

    Now to the point....
It's clear as a day if you pay attention. He's not hiding anything in these lyrics, he was obviously hurt by his lover.
