"I Give Up" as written by and Samuel J. Coomes....
They say hold on to your dreams
That plays good on TV
But never worked for me
So now I need to find a way to occupy my time
Until the day I die
'Cause I give up
I give up
It's gone so wrong, so long
It's gone so wrong
So wrong
So long
I give up

General CommentMost of Quasi's songs are gloriously depressing. This one's off their best album, 'featuring Birds'.

General CommentQuasi portrays despair plainly, with no embellishment. It's genius, but they would probably be more well known if their music wasn't so bluntly depressing. lol. that's probably how Coomes wants it though, just barely well known enough to make a living. In Mahayana Buddhism, that's the best kind of fortune. Not well known enough to suffer from fame, but enough to get by. good job, quasi-bodhisatvas..
