These songs are the stitches that mend my broken heart and every prick that hurts is healthy, one-step towards a full recovery. It seems like never ending surgery, feels with every stitch that's strung one more breaks another leak has sprung. All these Emi-lacerations, all this McKinn-internal bleeding, all these pretty puncture wounds and no vacant hospital rooms. In my eyes you are magnificent, but in my heart you are malevolent. I'm sleeping sound beneath this somber sorrow. can you feel the sun rise on tomorrow? Wake me when the day is over I don't feel up to this one yet, call to my attention when the harmony is perfect. Tuck me in before i give in again. Finally put a bitter end to all my needless suffering.

General CommentAmazing song. The piano to "auld lang syne" at the end is beautiful, and really brings the album full circle. The song "auld lang syne" isn't just a song for the new year, but to remember those who have passed in the previous one. To me, that part symbolizes the close of that relationship for good, and perhaps the death of a former self, and he is looking onward for the new year.
