It's cold outside; there's no kind of atmosphere
I'm all alone, more or less
Let me fly, far away from here
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun

I want to lie, shipwrecked and comatose
Drinking fresh mango juice
Goldfish shoals nibbling at my toes
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun

Song MeaningThis is obviously written about the main character of Red Dwarf, Dave Lister. The song is about Lister being lost 3 million years into deep space, long after the human race is probably gone.
The song very well captures the atmosphere of the whole show.
The second verse describes Lister's "plan" to have a farm on Fiji, as he describes in the first ever episode.

General CommentGreat show, tune is catchy as hell, but the lyrics here are incomplete. Here's the rest of the song, which doesn't appear in the TV show credits but is on the soundtrack:

I pack my bags and head into hyperspace
    Velocity at time warp speed
Spend my days in utraviolet rays
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun

We lock on course, straight through the universe
Just you and me and the galaxy
Reach the stage where hyperdrive's engaged
Fun, fun, fun, in the sun, sun, sun
