Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.
Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase
Hakuna matata, ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days
It’s our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna matata!
Simba: Hakuna matata?
Pumbaa: Yeah. It’s our motto!
Simba: What’s a motto?
Timon: Nothin’ what’s a motto with you?!
Pumbaa: Hakuna matata: These two words will solve all your problems.
Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase
Hakuna matata, ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days
It’s our problem-free philosophy:
Hakuna matata!
Timon: Welcome to our humble abode.
Pumbaa: Gee I’m starved.
Simba: I’m so hungry I could eat a whole zebra!
Timon: Yeeesh listen kid if you’re gonna live with us, you gotta eat like us.
Simba: Eww what’s that?
Timon: A grub!
Simba: Gross.
Pumbaa: Slimy, yet satisfying!
Timon: I’m tellin’ ya, kid - this is the life! No rules, no responsibilities, and best of all, no worries! One for you, enjoy!
Simba: Okay here goes….Hakuna matata. Slimy, yet satisfying! That’s it!

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
