Everywhere you are
Is everywhere you've been
Just lost to the beat
Punching through your skin
You don't know what to do
But still you want to crawl
All through the broken glass
That's everywhere you are

Your love must always be true
Your love must always be you

Everywhere you are
Anywhere you go
Even if you're starved
It matters what you do
But even if you've gone too far
You can follow you
Everywhere you are

And in your mind
You were alone
All this time
With everything you were
And every smile you wore
Still locked in your heart
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Every single shard

Everywhere you are
You're never too far
'Cause anywhere you'd go
Even to the stars
All you have to do
Is play the part of who you are
The rest is up to you

Phase unwound
By yourself
Atom bomb
On the shelf unsung
Pause of light
Pulse of life
New face dawns

Everywhere you are
And everywhere you go
Even if you're down
Even if you're low
It's in the thought of you
It's in the eyes of all
Astride a storied past
That's everywhere you are

Your love must always be true
Your love must always be you

Everywhere you are
Anywhere you go
Even if you're scarred
It's all a part of you
But ever should you put it down
You can never lose me
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are
Everywhere you are

The original title of this song was Virex, named after the drug that this character was taking. This song is about about reaching the last straw with drug use.

    My Interpretation

Well the first lines (Everywhere you are - That's everywhere you are) to me sound like a kind of outside in sonder. look up the word if you're not familiar. basically it's the feeling of realizing everyone around you has a life and a timeline and sad and great things happen to them all the time and they have their own demons and hopes and dreams and stuff, each one of them, and those lines seem to express the feeling of maybe triggering a sonder into people around you, including yourself, and realizing you're part of life and you're bigger than you think and all the people you touched and all the people you talked to they might think the same and this strikes you like a lightning and never stops and continues into an infinitely deep loop of levels of sonder. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! the part that goes allthrough the broken glass is more of like all through the broken you it's about overcoming your scars and moving on to a new life (the conceptual figure of Glass can be found inside each one of us i believe)

Your love must always be true/you is something like Come As You Are by Nirvana. it's like always coming clean and being sincere and not being afraid to love the things you love and not be afraid to NOT love certain things and always giving your heart out to each little thing you do in life and interact with it as though you were totally alone and nothing of this would be remembered sort of like being a little kid or maybe being on acid possibly i never tried it but i heard that when you take it you become very sincere about everything you see and hear and feel and stuff yeah

the following lines are about how every little thing you do no matter how little always matters and always will lead to the salvation or doom of the world many many millions of years from now and everything you do is crucial to everything that is happening all around and there's no burden messing up because you'll always find light in yourself and you'll always be able to find the best way out within yourself since you are perfect and everyone is literally perfect including their flaws each one fits themselves perfectly their skin is shaped just for them so no matter what they will find themselves best inside them and can never fall out of their comfort zone if they follow themselves and are sincere and absolutely careless about other people's opinions and comments even if you are evil and destroy everything you touch i'm sure this is exactly who you are and that's part of you and when you isolate yourself you will find true happiness in it.

And in your mind - every single chard is something like embracing your past and your past forms and the things you liked and did before even when you don't do them anymore and realizing it was always you and realizing life's a change and you're one with it and you are life itself no less and you can change all you want and it will still be you as much as all your pastselves and maybe even feeling like time is a lie and everything happens at the same moment you are thousands in one right, now, and you have to realize this.

Everywhere you are - the rest is up to you is about understanding isolation is never a problem and you will always be part of the everything and you will always be included so if you think things have gone too badly you can just come back by following your heart and you will find yourself and whatever you do you just have to be yourself and the whole audience will applaud and everything will take its toll and things will go on and really you can't decide by going out the stage since that is your line it's sort of a predestinist philosophy i think

Phase unwound - New face dawns is about the relativity of things and realizing they are not what they seem and like Pause of light is about how darkness doesn't exist it's only the pause of light and that can be translated as you wish and this whole part is sort of like not condemning the world and just going back on the stage and be part of it and get up and sing you know like have the fun you were born to have

Everywhere you are - That's everywhere you are is about how even if you're sad and even if you feel dead inside the observation of all will continue and you will be told on to future generations so it's up to you if you want to last three stories or live in the eyes of 20 lives so it's about being noticed and wanting attention and your decision about it so it's like how you use your moods and what you do with your life always in the mouths of thousands

Everywhere you are - Everywhere you are is about understanding that your scars and your flaws and your memories all make who you are and the whole biological construction that keeps you alive don't mean a thing when really it's your soul always shot by your life and that might be why life always changes because nothing is ever static everything always moves and your life is no exception so you will always change and the parts you wish weren't there and the things you wish didn't happen are part of you and your reaction to them and to the understanding process i'm talking about is even more of you to mount up to your trueself or wholeself maybe so it's about trusting yourself in entirety and being true and understanding everything you are, this whole big infinite mess.

that's what i think this is a very uplifting song about finding yourself inside and out and embracing it thanks have a nice day/drive safely.

Well, there's two ways that I look at this song:

    1. The person who is speaking is/was a best friend (or a bf/gf/spouse) who happens to be dead but will always be in your mind. (Although they could be alive too.) They realize that you had been alone without them all this time.

    2. It could be an evil enemy who's taken over/trying to take over your mind. Or they're just threatening that they'll always be there in your mind. (Like the theme in the movie, "Cat's Eye" with the song "I'll Be Watching You". Or if you've recently seen that cartoon, "Teen Titans", when Slade was in Robin's mind, and no one else could see him except Robin, in which he was perceived as going crazy).

But I like to think of it as my best friend with theory #1 more. Although I can see what Pikmin said.

I had a completly different take on this. I just thought it was about how everything you are is inside of your head, and how every place seems to be dully the same. But your morals (Love) and what you choose to do in this world is what makes you worthwhile.

I agree with Cinderwild. The song is very upbeat and hopefull giving the feeling that all these trials lead to somthing possitive, in this case love

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
