I was outside smoking.
With the fall winds just beginning.
You were still inside,
Mixing drinks with the music.

And the night was there for you
As a backdrop,
And the streets were still and dark
'Cause they had the rain to help calm them down.

Then you came back out
Sipping your drink (your drink)
To the rhythm of a cold night
In Virginia...

I'm ready and I'm willing.

General CommentGreat Song! Gotta love the instumental intro and guitar riffs. This guy has a really good voice, only because it sounds like he smokes too much.

General CommentOf all the bands that have moved on, i think this is the one i miss the most. i love HWM, but i just wish chuck and chris could have kept this one going. There is really no band out there that can compare to blacktop. so good......so damn good.
